The new budget airline said a lack of sustainable demand drove the decision to abandon between several regional locations.
Bonza will no longer to fly from it's Sunshine Coast base to Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie or Tamworth.
Flights from Cairns to Mackay and Toowoomba to Whitsunday Coast have also been axed. Other routes will be reduced by one flight per week.
Chief commercial officer Carly Povey said the move allowed the airline to focus on demand.
"By focusing on routes that are performing very well, we're also taking decisive action by going where the demand is and in turn, setting Bonza up for the long haul - because competition in the airline industry is a good thing and the demand for Bonza is clear," she wrote in an open letter to customers.
The changes come into play in a little more than two weeks, from August 1.
Customers booked on routes impacted will receive a full refund or alternate flights with Bonza.
Ms Povey said the move would allow for spare capacity as well as purchasing additional aircraft and establishing a third base.
Bonza's current fleet includes four Boeing 737 Max-8s and it will aim to service its 22 routes with three planes leaving the fourth to act as a spare until the fleet expands.
