This October, Gemmalyn Crosby, President of the successful El Nido Resort & SPA project, met several officers from the Municipality of El Nido in Palawan, Philippines.
Objective : environmental certifications with officials of DENR, CENRO, EMB and MRPA*
*DENR : Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines
*CENRO : Community Environment and Natural Resources Office. It is responsible for the implementation of DENR policies, programs, project and activities and the enforcement of environmental laws.
*EMB : the Environmental Management Bureau of the DENR.
*MRPA : El Nido -Taytay Managed Resource Protected Area (ENTRMRPA). El Nido is one the Philippines’ protected areas included in the National Integrated Protected Areas Programme.
Managed by “The Pavilions” El Nido Resort & SPA is a development whose architecture and construction are led by major players. The project developer pays particular attention to ensuring that his development does not alter the environment.
El Nido Resort & SPA is inspired by the culture of the indigenous tribes of Palawan to define the structure of its villas, and aims to promote the employment of a local workforce. The mayor of the municipality of El Nido gave official support to the project.
