The commercialisation of football has caused another controversial move but this time for Brazil - as only last week fans fumed about the colour of the St George’s flag being change on England’s latest jersey.

Sportswear companies often use friendly matches as an opportunity to parade and market different jerseys.

And in a week where Brazil and Nike released their latest kits ahead of this summer’s Copa America they decided to snub the nations yellow strip to market "Brazil in Blue".

The infamous yellow shirt is up there as one of the most famous shirts of all the time.

Zico, Garrincha, Pele, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Romario, Cafu, the list goes on of fotball greats fans will always remember in Brazil's iconic kit.

And that is why supporters will be gutted to find out when Brazil play against England tonight that they have ditched the yellow for blue.

This is the first time since a 0-0 draw in 2017 the Three Lions will face the South American nation.

Brazil did wear blue when they beat England 2-1 at the 2002 World Cup.

They also donned blue against the Three Lions in 1990 when Bobby Robson’s men won 1-0 thanks to Gary Lineker’s goal.
