Shahid Kapoor opened up about being an outsider in Bollywood, revealing that people used to bully him at the start of his acting career.
The Jab We Met actor recently appeared in a show called No Filter Neha, in which he claimed that "outsiders are not accepted easily" in the glitzy world of B-town.
Shahid said, "I don't like this campy thing. People who want to creatively collaborate should do so. But that doesn’t mean you put other people down or close the doors to outsiders."
He added, "And I think that as a teenage or young adult I didn't have the confidence to fight back but now, if you try to bully me, I will bully you right back. I will bully the bully because they deserve it."
The actor also revealed that he even did not take any help from his father, Pankaj Kapur, because he was only a 'character actor.'
He asserted that character actors lack this kind of influence and that only "stars, superstars, and directors" possess it.
