‘This is ridiculous’: Exasperated travellers tell tales of luggage chaos at Toronto’s Pearson airport

The Star spoke with five people who travelled through Pearson International Airport in recent days. These are their luggage laments.

As the holiday season draws to a close, many people are heading back to work after enjoying rest and relaxation with loved ones. Others, meanwhile, are still waiting to be reunited with their luggage.

The glut of lost and misplaced bags clogging the baggage-claim areas at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, among other hubs across North America — caused or worsened by the severe cold, flight cancellations and mechanical mishaps that threw a collective wrench into air travel during air travel’s holiday peak — is now into its second week.
