Rapper Snoop Dogg has been stopped at an Italian airport with $422,000 (£270,000).

Italian financial police said they stopped the star, said to be worth about £80m, at the Lamezia Terme airport in Calabria on Saturday.

Anything more than £7,000 must be declared if it is being taken across EU borders and authorities confirmed they had seized half the money under Italian anti-money laundering codes. The balance will be returned minus any fines imposed by the courts.
