Windsock Simulations have just announced the release of their latest airport for X-Plane 11, Ibiza. The island is well known for its beautiful scenery and nightclubs.

In a Facebook post, Windsock Simulations have announced the release of Ibiza for XP in collaboration with Sim-Wings and published by Aerosoft. The project came as a surprise in January when it was announced and that about 95% of the development was complete.

Ibiza is a Spanish island located in the Mediterranean Sea about 150km off the coast of Valencia, Spain. The island has an important cultural heritage with its first settlements dating back to 654 BC and with numerous UNESCO heritage sites. Nowadays, the island is popular among young tourists for its nightlife and electronic music culture.

Ibiza Airport (LEIB/IBZ) known in Spanish as Aeropuerto de Ibiza is the island’s international airport. Thanks to its 2,800 meters long runway, it can accommodate most airliners and in 2018, the airport was visited over 8,100,000 times by passengers and saw more than 76,000 aircraft movements.

The scenery covers not only all of Ibiza island but also its neighbour, Formentera with some high-quality orthophotos and custom landmarks.
