Manchester United fans are all in agreement about Pep Guardiola’s comments on incoming Red Devils CEO Omar Berrada.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos mean business as they prepare for their 25 per cent minority investment in Manchester United to be approved after months of negotiating with the Glazer family.

Once they get that approval, it seems the British billionaire has no plans to rest on his laurels with Omar Berrada, formerly of Manchester City, already in the door at Old Trafford with the Moroccan set to start his role in the summer. A sporting director will also be appointed, too.

As for Berrada, losing him is a massive blow for City and Guardiola’s comments about the deal have United fans all in agreement.

United fans react to Guardiola’s comments

Speaking in a press conference ahead of City’s game against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup, Guardiola said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “Maybe United thinks with this person everything’s going to change – congratulations. I don’t know if this is going to happen.”

Fans are all in agreement with what this means, with one saying: “He’s fuming.” Another agrees with this stance: “Oh my god, the jealousy.”

“He’s actually upset we did something right for a change,” another fan believes. “Classless as usual from the blue side of Manchester,” one fan said.

Some believe that this is mind games from the Spanish coach: “Already trying to heap pressure & playing mind games on someone he calls a friend & worked with for 7 years?

“Pep is the biggest sore loser in the game.” Whilst another simply stated: “Pep’s having a meltdown.”

Guardiola’s angry reaction is a good thing

Despite his comments being ones that could be seen as him being salty, the reality is that if he is salty, this can only be a good thing for the Red Devils.

If Guardiola is upset by this then surely that just hints that United are moving in the right direction with this appointment and Berrada could be the key man to get the Red Devils back to where they want to be.

The appointment of Berrada alone will not propel United into a title race but it is a brilliant start. A new sporting director has to be next on the agenda for Ineos, with Dan Ashworth heavily linked.
