The Third Region Revival event takes us to the sunny Bay of Plenty.
Join us on the East Coast in the Bay of Plenty to explore Tauranga (NZTG) and the surrounding towns and aerodromes.
There are many smaller strips dotted up and down the coast from Tauranga, such as Waihi Beach (NZWV), Whakatane (NZWK) and Pauanui (NZUN) all of which host unique history and landmarks to the Bay of Plenty. The east coast is suited to low and slow VFR flying up and down the coast, however there are larger airports in the vicinity which can host larger IFR aircraft.
With Waihi Beach being a 10 minute hop away from Tauranga and Pauanui also close by, there are many destinations to choose from, you could even continue up the Coromandel to Whitanga or Great Barrier Island.
You can expect full ATC coverage with Tauranga Tower and Bay Approach positions to be filled by our freindly controllers.
