After James Dean and Marlon Brando in the ’50s and ’60s, came Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Pattinson in the ’90s and Noughties. In 2023, Jacob Elordi – with his undeniable magnetism – has picked up the Hollywood heartthrob baton. Having gone from starring as the deeply problematic Nate Jacobs in Euphoria to a starring role as Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, Elordi has officially reached A-list status, and he looked every bit the golden boy while promoting the movie at the Venice Film Festival.

While at the airport in Italy, the Australian actor was spied carrying the It-bag of the moment. Elordi wore a white long-sleeve top paired with blue jeans and a sleek black pair of leather loafers (the latter two by Saint Laurent), with the requisite movie star accessories: ironic baseball cap and shades. However, the standout addition to the outfit was Jacob’s vibrant yellow Louis Vuitton monogram Speedy bag, fresh from Pharrell’s inaugural spring/summer 2024 menswear collection for the French fashion house.

Of course, those who have been paying attention to Elordi’s style evolution will know he is something of a “bag-fluencer”. His accessories collection includes trophy pieces from Celine, Fendi and Burberry – and he doesn’t confine himself to traditional menswear, either. Back in March, Elordi was spotted toting Bottega Veneta’s popular Andiamo shoulder bag, beloved by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, while running errands in LA.

That bright yellow holdall is just one more sartorial talking point from Elordi, following his much dissected barefoot moment earlier this year – and let’s not forget those short-shorts paired with white Nike socks at the Valentino spring/summer 2024 show. We – and the rest of the internet – love to see it.
