TIMMINS AIRPORT, Timmins, Ontario, Canada (YTS/CYTS) was a Federal Airport when established in 1962. This small, modern, busy and unique terminal became a Municipal Airport in 1999. Co-ordinates taken near sign.

The Timmins Airport makes connections to the far North as well as Sudbury and Toronto to the south. It is an interesting building with many displays and a mural of the history of the Porcupine Gold Camp which was established in 1909. Timmins dates from 1912. (The original airport was established in 1962 and my first flight here was in October 1965 from Sudbury on a DC3, for work.)
