R&D plus toolmaking/Entwicklung und Werkzeugbau<br />
Feller's hauseigener Werkzeugbau ist <strong>mit</strong> modernsten Ma schi nen<br />
aus ge rü stet, bis hin zu CNC-Funkenerodier-Maschinen. 9 Werkzeug<br />
ma cher arbeiten in 2 Schichten. Extrusions-, Spritz guß- und<br />
Krimp-Werkzeuge sowie Baugruppenmontage-Au to ma ten werden<br />
im Haus ge fer tigt.<br />
Etwa 70 verschiedene Spritzgußwerkzeuge für internationale Stec ker -<br />
sy ste me, 60 Dosen-, sowie ca. 100 Spezial- und kun den be zo ge ne<br />
Werk zeu ge werden in stand ge hal ten, mo di fi ziert und neugebaut – die<br />
Kunden sind die 4 Pro duk ti ons stät ten von Feller.<br />
Komponenten-, Produkt-, Werkzeug- und Baugruppen-Kon struk -<br />
tio nen wer den <strong>mit</strong> einem 3 D-CAD-System ent wic kelt. CAD-Da ten<br />
werden rou ti ne mä ßig <strong>mit</strong> Lie fe ran ten und Kunden aus ge tauscht.<br />
Größere Projekte im Bereich angewandter industrieller Ver fah rens for -<br />
schung werden <strong>mit</strong> Unterstützung des öster rei chi schen „Forschungsförderungs-Fonds“<br />
durch ge führt.<br />
Feller's in-house tool-and-die shop is equipped with state-of-the art<br />
machinery, including CNC spark-erosion machines. 9 toolmakers are<br />
employed in a 2-shift operation.<br />
Mould-tools, extrusion-dies, crimp-tools, and sub-assembly systems<br />
are built in-house.<br />
Some 70 different mould-tools for national plug confi gurations,<br />
another 60 mould-tools for connectors, plus close to 100 special<br />
and customized mould-tools are constantly maintained,<br />
updated, and being built for Feller's 4 manufacturing plants.<br />
Component-, product-, tool-, and system-design is carried<br />
out in the R&D department with a 3 D-CAD-system. CADdata<br />
are routinely exchanged with customers and suppliers.<br />
Major industrial research projects are carried out with the help of the<br />
Austrian „Forschungsförderungs-Fonds“.<br />

Quality Systems and Approvals/Qualitäts-System und Approbationen<br />
Feller war und ist ein Pionier bei Qualitäts-Systemen: bereits 1986<br />
wur de das erste Qualitäts-System approbiert (damals basiert auf<br />
BS 5750, da es noch keine entsprechende ISO-Normung gab).<br />
1989 wurde das System gemäß ISO 9001 – 2000 modifi ziert.<br />
Feller's Qualitäts-Sy stem wird regelmäßig durch mehrere in ter na -<br />
tio na le Agen tu ren ge prüft, u.a. durch BSI, ASTA, SII, und SABS.<br />
Zusätzlich wird Feller vierteljährlich durch ÖVE, und produktionsmen<br />
gen be zo gen (0im Schnitt 3-wöchentlich) durch ein Team von<br />
UL-In spek to ren geprüft.<br />
Feller hat Pro dukt-Approbationen von den nationalen Prüf stel len<br />
fol gen der Länder: Japan, Australien, Süd af ri ka, USA, Kanada, Israel,<br />
Großbritannien, Frank reich, Italien, Be ne lux, Skandinavien, Ungarn,<br />
Schweiz, Deutsch land, Öster reich, China.<br />
Qualitätsauszeichnungen hat Feller u.a. von IBM, XEROX, HP,<br />
FUTJITSU-SIEMENS, SNI erhalten.<br />
1993 erstellte Feller erst ma lig ein Statement zur Um welt po li tik.<br />
At Feller, Quality systems have been a household-word for more<br />
than a decade: the fi rst Quality-system-approval – then acc. to<br />
BS 5750, in the absence of applicable ISO-standards – was<br />
granted in 1986 (an Austrian fi rst). 1989 saw the upgrading of<br />
the system to ISO 9001 – 2000 standards. The Quality system<br />
is audited in regular intervals by several in ter na tio nal agencies,<br />
e.g. BSI, ASTA, SII, SABS. In addition, ÖVE per form quarterannual<br />
audits, and a team of UL-inspectors visit Feller based on<br />
production-quantities, on average every 3 weeks.<br />

Africa, USA, Canada, Israel, Great Britain, France, Italy, the Scandinavian<br />
Countries, Belgium, The Netherlands, Hungary, Switzerland,<br />
Germany, Austria, China.<br />
Quality-excellence rewards have been granted by customers such<br />
as IBM, XEROX, HP, FUJITSU-SIEMENS.<br />
