@ttyymmnn I wouldn't be surprised if Texas had their own airline.
Morning -
@ttyymmnn Yep, definitely a Monday. My badge expired at my client, so I guess I started with this client a year ago today.... waiting to be setup as a visitor so I can go in and hopefully get this resolved before the rest of my team (who started at the same time) get in.

It's strangely appropriate to see the tail of a United Airlines plane to the left. Texas International ended 38 years of operation when they merged with Continental Airlines in 1982. Continental then ceased to exist when acquired by United 30 years later.
-
@ttyymmnn I was at the BTR airport one rainy day when Texas International ran one of those DC9s off the end of the runway trying to stop.
Oh Shit moment..
They eventually cut the airplane up and trucked it out. Must have been fairly broken. -
@ttyymmnn
I've this image of Texas Airlines being like the old comedians, Hale and Pace sketch, Yorkshire Airlines.
'We'll be taking off from Houston, Texas and touching down in Fort Worth, Texas, because if it's outside Texas, it ain't worth going!' lol.
-
@ttyymmnn did the pilots wear cowboy hats?
-
Very likely

Thanks. We keep getting fronts which screw up my ability to get outside and wrench on the truck. I really should clear out the garage to make space for more important activities.

Featured prominantly in the book 'hard landings' which is a must read.

Not good when things start falling off. I wonder if the jack screw failed.

@ttyymmnn Ahhh, the snowy mountains of Texas ....
